In the year 1973, renowned glass technologist Late Shri H.L.N. Murthy fused Quartz for the first time in India and changed the face of Indian glass technology forever. With his vast experience at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai, where he worked closely with Homi Bhabha (acknowledged as the founder and prime architect of the Indian Atomic Energy programme), and his training at the Thermal Syndicate in the UK and The Corning Glass Works in the USA, Mr. Murthy laid the foundations for the Infusil Group of Companies as a pioneer in the manufacture of fused Quartzware and fused Silicaware.           

 

From its humble beginnings as a glassware repair workshop and R&D centre, the Infusil Group of Companies grew to challenge global monopolies in the field of Silicaware and quartz distillation units. Even today, the company’s Bhanu Distillers are a force to reckon with the world over. The company’s product mix of glass and quartz distillation, Silicaware and industrial Silicaware provided a platform for further growth. Increased production and export necessitated the manufacture of quartz and glass working machinery, the superior quality of which enabled the company to export all over the world. Growing demand for Infusil scientific products and further innovation saw the development of various new divisions such as Plasticware, laboratory glassware, water treatment plants and laboratory equipment.  

 

Under the expertise and guidance of CEO Mr. H. N. Ravi & Mrs Surya Ravi, the Infusil Group of Companies is considered one of the most well-established players in the glass technology industry of India. An ISO 9001 company, the Infusil Group is headquartered at the Peenya Industrial Estate, Bangalore and consists of four manufacturing units with seven major divisions of quality scientific products. Son of founder Late Mr. Murthy, Mr. Ravi, has a Master’s degree in Physics and Electronics from the Royal Institute of Science, Mumbai, and has extensively researched in the field of material sciences at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has been instrumental in the development of Indian glass technology. An experienced scientist with a background that includes teaching as well as sales and marketing, Mr. Ravi is passionate about R&D and has constantly been adding to the company’s innovative product mix.

 

 

Presently, the Infusil Group of Companies is headed by Mr Swamy Ravi, Grandson of Late Shri. H.L.N.Murthy and Son of Mr.H.N.Ravi.  Under the guidance and mentoring from them, he has imbibed all qualities to be the torchbearer of this esteemed Group.

Mr. Swamy Ravi has an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology,  Bangalore. He also holds a degree in Commerce which gives him a greater advantage in business.

 

Following his passion for technical perfection and upgrading all processes and techniques involved in the manufacturing of our entire Infusil product range, Mr.Swamy Ravi has been taking the Group to greater heights.  His innovative ideas to modernize the working techniques and bringing about a sense of team effort and achievement is commendable.

 

Leading the Group with great care and passion to keep up with changing times. He involves himself with every aspect of the business. Like any businessman, he is shrewd in business but he also comes across as a very humble person when approached. 

 

He believes in teamwork and encourages every employee to build it stronger. Sharing all his experiences and evolving over the years he has grown to be one of the finest Leaders one can look up to. Infusil is indeed very privileged to be a part of this journey.

Shouldering the responsibilities equally at the work front is his better half Mrs Bhanu Swamy who is a powerhouse of the Company.  She holds an Engineering degree and is truly an asset to us.  A perfectionist, she takes initiatives in all aspects of the Company which has proven great successes to the Firm.

 

He is also supported by his sister Mrs. Bhanu Manoj. C, who has been an integral part of the Infusil journey.  Her expertise in handling exports has helped the Company to reach out to worldwide customers.  With her advocation, we have been able to manage the Company affairs at ease.
